34 Raceway announces season schedule
With the 2013 season at 34 Raceway in the books, Amy Laue is putting the finishing touches on the 2014 schedule.
At the top of that schedule is the announcement of the return of the World Of Outlaws Sprint Car series to 34 Raceway.
After a record crowd of more than 5,000 fans last year, the 410 Outlaws will return to the 3/8 mile on June 27.
The season will kick off at the annual Midwest Performance & Power two-day car show, March 15-16.
The Test-n-Tune will be held on March 22, from noon to 3 p.m., with the Sprint Invaders season opener held on Saturday, March 29, along with Mod Lites, Four Cylinders and Midget Lites.
34 Raceway will be playing host to six weekly classes and a points fund will be paid out at the end of the season at the annual awards banquet.
The season track points begin March 29, with season championship being held one week later this year: it will be Aug. 30.
Weekly classes include 305 Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Stock Cars, Mod Lites and Four Cylinders (IMCA rules non-sanctioned for the Four Cylinders).
On April 19, 34 Raceway will host the 6th Annual Slocum 50, and Fan Appreciation Night will be held three times: May 17, June 21 and Aug. 30.
The UMP Summer Nationals Hell Tour Super Late Models will also return to 34 Raceway on July 12, and The Night of the Twins has been made into a Sprint Invaders Nationals Show on Aug. 16.
Sprint Invader events for 2014 season at 34 Raceway are scheduled for March 29, May 24, Aug. 16 and the season championship on Sept. 27.
Quads, Bikes and Side by Sides will return on April 5, May 24, June 14, Sept. 13 and the championship on Oct. 4.
