Mt. Pleasant Police Department Lieutenant Lyle Murray gave a presentation to some Mt. Pleasant Chamber members on Wednesday, Nov. 14, and taught them what to do if a shooter enters their workplace.
The presentation was titled A.L.I.C.E, which stands for alert, lockdown, inform, counter and evacuate. Murray has previously instructed Mt. Pleasant school district officials and students on the A.L.I.C.E. procedure and encouraged employers to prepare their own shooter-response programs.
