Adkins - Brumwell
Sarah Alice Adkins and Corbin Wayne Brumwell were married Oct. 6, 2012 at Grace United Methodist Church, Burlington.
Rev. Brian Swafford officiated the double ring ceremony. Matron of honor was Jamie Ironside of Dubuque, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Crenna Brumwell of Dubuque, sister of the groom, Sarah Randleman of Dewitt, Larissa Bennett of Chicago, Ill., Niki Sauerbrei of Omaha, Neb. and Melissa Dittman of Coralville. Best man was L. Cullen Brumwell of Mt. Union, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Tony Sahm of Dubuque, his brother-in-law, DeeJay Brobston of Coralville, Adam Jarr of Iowa City, Jamie Piggott of Iowa City and Nate Burden of New London. The bride’s niece and nephew, Ava and Henry Ironside, were flower girl and ring bearer. Ushers were Dan Cox of Des Moines, Eric Wagner of Des Moines, Marcus McCabe of Mt. Pleasant and Tyler Coon of North Liberty. Candle lighters were Matt Brockway and Mike Brockway, both of North Liberty.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at Comfort Inn and Suites in Burlington. The rehearsal dinner was held at the Drake in Burlington with Jeri Willingham and Ron and Karla Denning as host and hostess.
Parents of the couple are Paul and Bonnie Adkins of Muscatine and Wayne and Katherine Brumwell of Yarmouth. Grandparents of the couple are Rosemary Adkins of Bettendorf, Marlene Reid of New London, Ray and Betty Buchmayer of Solon and Vernon and Linda Brumwell of Chappell Hill, Texas.
The bride is assistant director of the Children’s Miracle Network at the University of Iowa Hospitals and the groom is assistant team leader for Scheels in Coralville. They will make their home in North Liberty.
