Arthur LeRoy Roberts, 75, Donnellson, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Holy Family Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ft. Madison, with the Rev. David Wilkening officiating. Family will meet with friends at a luncheon following the service at McAleer Hall.

Burial will be held at a later date in Woonsocket, S.D.

Memorials may be made in his memory to the Holy Family Parish.

He was born April 26, 1937, in Beadle County, Huron, S.D., the son of Albert Cyrus and Alma Emma (Carstens) Roberts. On Jan. 31, 1959, he married Bonnie Rose Brewster in Woonsocket, S.D.

He was a member of the Holy Family Parish and of Union AFL-CIO. He was a U.S. Army veteran and after thirty five years of service, he retired from Armour Dial.

He loved fishing, gardening, racing and helping his friends with their projects.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of Donnellson; four sons, Todd (Janet) Roberts of Jacksonville, N.C., David Roberts of Des Moines, Monte Roberts of Tacoma, Wash., Jay Roberts of Donnellson; two daughters, Jody (Alvin) Krebill of Donnellson, Lori June (Todd) Pardall of Donnellson, fourteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
