Authorities investigating Lockridge incident
LOCKRIDGE — Jefferson County’s Sheriffs Office is investigating an incident which happened in Lockridge Wednesday.
The office responded to a 911 call of a male subject shot at 105 W. Main St., Lockridge. Upon arrival, it was discovered that David Bittner, 46, Lockridge, was unresponsive due to a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Investigation into this matter is ongoing and no charges have been filed.
Assisting the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office were Lockridge QRS, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Reserve, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Mt. Pleasant Police Department and Midwest Ambulance.
