Authorities searching for missing girl
FAIRFIELD — Jefferson County authorities are searching for a 15-year-old Batavia girl, according to a press release Wednesday from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office was notified on Nov. 9 by Bill Kahl of Batavia that his 15-year-old daughter, Jessica Kahl, had run away. The sheriff’s office, however, said that the circumstances of her disappearance are not of a suspicious nature, but she was entered as a missing juvenile due to her age.
She is described as a white female, 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 115 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a Penn State hooded sweatshirt, white jeans and black tennis shoes with red laces.
Authorities said she may be in the company of 25-year-old William Nicely, a white male, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 160 pounds. Nicely may be driving a 1993 single cab Ford diesel pickup, color unknown.
Possible destinations for the pair could include Pennyslvania, Wyoming or Alabama.
Anyone having information or contact with Jessica Kahl should contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 641-472-3576.
