Danae Bell and Dan Besch, both of Spirit Lake, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Parents of the couple are David and Denise Bell of New London and Dennis and Judy Besch of Mason.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of New London High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in therapeutic recreation. She is employed by Echo Plus, Inc.

The bridegroom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Bishop Garrigan High School - Algona and a 2005 graduate of Northwest Community College with degrees in industrial and commercial wiring and electrical technology. In 2009, he graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in technology management. He is employed by Polaris Industries. From 2000 - 2009 he was a G5 sergeant with the Army National Guard and was deployed twice.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m. on Aug. 11, at the New London Christian Church.
