Bernie M. Muntz
Bernie M. Muntz, 84, of Bonaparte, died on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, in the emergency room at Van Buren County Hospital, in Keosauqua.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at Pedrick Funeral Home, in Keosauqua, with Rev. Mark Caston officiating. Visitation with family will be from 10 to 11 a.m., on Thursday, prior to the service. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery.
Gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at P.O. Box 412, Keosauqua, Iowa 52565.
Muntz was born on March 30, 1932, in LaPuenta, N.M. She married Bennie Eugene “Whitey” Muntz on March 1, 1951, in LaPuenta, while he was in the U.S. Air Force.
She was a homemaker and home health aide, caring for disabled people in their homes.
Muntz is survived by four sons, Robert Muntz, of Bonaparte; Raymond (Blanche) Muntz, of Piketon, Ohio; Carl (Michael Bruce) Muntz, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Kenton (Veronica) Muntz, of Argyle; three daughters, Gloria (Charley) Starnes, of Keosauqua; Teresa (John Wallerich) Graham, of Sigourney; and Stacy (Dimitrious Royal) Muntz Royal, of Farmington; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Philip and Jerry; and a sister, Marcella, all in Utah.
She was preceded in death by her husband; five grandchildren; and a brother, Jimmy.
