Betty D. Fleming Hohl
Betty D. Fleming Hohl, 86, Sunnybrook Assisted Living in Ft. Madison and formerly of Donnellson, died Saturday, March 7, 2014, at Sunnybrook Assisted Living in Ft. Madison.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson where the family will meet with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at St Paul’s United Church of Christ in Donnellson with the Rev. Dean Moberg officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Evangelical Cemetery in Donnellson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The University of Iowa Foundation for the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.schmitzlynkfuneralhome.com.

Born Jan. 3, 1928, in Stockport, she was the daughter of Morris Hugh Fleming and Freda Violet (Boone) Fleming. On Nov. 10, 1946, she married Floyd E. Hohl.
She graduated from Donnellson High School in 1946, was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Donnellson and groups within the church. She was a member of the Donnellson Saddle Club and was active with 4-H. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, mowing the lawn, cooking and baking.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Karen (Ron) Mace of Cedar Rapids; two sons, T.K. (Beth) Hohl of Clifton, Va., and Kevin (Judy) Hohl of Donnellson; three brothers, Robert (Shirley) Fleming of Solon, Merton Fleming of Kingman, Ariz., and Jim (Kolene) Fleming of Burlington; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
