Some stores — and shoppers — got the jump on Black Friday sales. Mt. Pleasant’s Peebles was one of the retailers who launched their holiday sales Thanksgiving evening, opening at 8 p.m. Reportedly, the first shopper arrived at 3 p.m. to secure a place in the line. Hopefully, that person was able to purchase what they sought.
