Bodenham to be recognized at Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony
An Eagle Scout award is set to be presented to Aaron R. Bodenham, of Mt. Pleasant.
Bodenham has earned the highest advancement award the Boy Scouts of America offers to Scouts, the Eagle Scout Award. He will be recognized in a Court of Honor on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at 3 p.m., at the Swedesburg Lutheran Church, in Swedesburg. A reception will follow at the Swedesburg Parish Hall.
A member of Boy Scout Troop 24, Bodenham is one of approximately four percent of all Boy Scouts who attain the Eagle rank, according to Scoutmaster Jason Loving. Each candidate must earn 21 merit badges and successfully complete a community or church related service project to earn his Eagle.
Bodenham chose to design and build shelving and storage on the inside of the Mt. Pleasant Trap Shooting team trailer.
He is a member of Swedesburg Lutheran Church and is active in Mt. Pleasant trap shooting programs, band, jazz band, and show band at Mt. Pleasant High School, where he is a sophomore. He is the son of John and Dawn Bodenham, of Mt. Pleasant.
