Bonzai aides in bus stop bust
Officers from the Mt. Pleasant Police Department, conducting a bus intersection at the Trailways Bus Stop in Mt. Pleasant (2205 E. Washington St.) arrested a passenger on the bus.
During the interdiction Thursday, Theodore Moyes, Montrose, was discovered to be in possession of methamphetamine, meth pipes and suspected synthetic marijuana.
Moyes was transported to the Henry County Jail and charged with possession of meth and possession of drug equipment. Additional charges are pending.
The Henry County attorney’s K-9 handler Randy Stroud and his dog, Bonzai, assisted at the bus stop, according to the police department.
The investigations were partially a result of concerned citizens assisting by calling in suspicious activity. The police department urges citizens to report any suspicious activity to their local law enforcement agencies.
