Carol E. Tubridy
Carol E. Tubridy of Winfield, formerly of Chicago, Ill. and Morton Grove, Ill., died Dec. 18, 2012, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
She has donated her body to the University of Iowa School of Medicine for study so there will be no visitation or funeral. A memorial service is planned for Saturday Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. at the Trenton Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for The Multiple Sclerosis Society under the Carol Paoli-Sarver Fund.
Honts Funeral Home in Winfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born Nov. 15, 1936, in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of Carlo and Emma Paoli. She married Robert Paul Sarver in Jan. 1955. He preceded her in death. She later married and separated from Michael Tubridy.
She graduated from Chicago Waller High School in 1954 as Salutatorian of her class and worked for the Chicago Sun Times newspaper in the accounting department. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching the birds, and supporting the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.
Survivors include two sons, Jim (Serena) Sarver of Grayslake, Ill. and Bob (Cindy) Sarver of Trenton; one sister, Vivian (Pablo) Duda of Morton Grove, Ill.; and two brothers, Barry Paoli of Park Ridge, Ill., and Carlo Paoli Jr. of Palm Springs, Calif.
