Chapter NZ of PEO meets
Chapter NZ of PEO met Monday, Feb. 25, in the home of Kathy Schimmelpfennig. Tabbi Schimmelpfinnig, Jennifer Stater and Amy Lowe were co-hostesses.
Elizabeth Garrels circulated information for the 2013-2014 yearbook. She also presented the first draft of the budget for the coming yearby budget committee members Connie Pedersen, Janet Roederer, Lynn Graf, Kathy Schimmelpfennig, Joyce Dennison, Karen Brimhall and Garrels. Kris Emerson and Patty Carson were appointed to the auditing committee.
Brimhall shared her president’s letter, which is traditionally read at the February meeting. The letter is a “state of the chapter” report describing the activities of the previous year.
The January-February issue of The PEO Record contains an article written by Karen Bates Chabal, Chapter Original A, describing completed restoration of the colored glass windows in Old Main on the Iowa Wesleyan College campus.
Thirty-two panes of glass are in the window on the staircase landing and seven panes are above the main entry. Local PEOs helped with this preservation by their individual gifts made in honor of the 2009-2011 PEO Internaitonal President, Elizabeth Garrels.
Karen Wenstrand will host the next meeting on March 25, at 1 p.m.
