Clodene V. Rose
Clodene V. Rose, 80, of Mt. Pleasant died on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at the Henry County Health Center.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Earl Swigart officiating. Burial will be held in the Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Murphy Funeral Home where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Animal Rescue or to the Girls Softball Association in her memory.

She was born on July 5, 1932, in Henry County, the daughter of Lloyd E. and Edith Martin Adams. She married R. Dean Rose on April 24, 1954, at the Willard Street Baptist Church in Ottumwa. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2011.
She was a beautician at Mt. Pleasant Mental Health Center then she became a cook and server for the Mt. Pleasant Schools. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Brian (Carol) Rose of Mt. Pleasant, and Teresa (Garry) Koopmans of Gladstone, Ill.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson; and her brother, Charles Adams of Winfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Howard.
