Something old, something new.
That fairly much sums up the entertainment line-up, announced Wednesday, for this year’s Midwest Old Threshers Reunion, scheduled for Aug. 29-Sept. 2.
Leroy VanDyke and his County Gold group returns to lead off the entertainers Thursday, Aug. 29. Appearing with VanDyke are T. Graham Brown, Lynn Anderson and David Frizzell.
Friday night’s entertainers include David Kroll and the LoCash Cowboys. Morgan Frazier and Randy Houser are the guests Saturday, Aug. 31, and Jerrod Nieman provides the last show Sunday, Sept. 1.
All shows begin at 8 p.m. and are hosted rain or shine.
Deloris Poulter Wilson will be the grand marshal of the parade Thursday, Aug. 29.
Old Threshers CEO Lennis Moore praised his directors and staff last night during an Alive After Five event at the Rodeway Inn in Mt. Pleasant.
“I have a fantastic board of directors and am blessed with an excellent staff,” Moore said.
Thursday will be Veterans day at Threshers. All service personnel — active and retired — can buy one-day admission for half price.
A multi-day gate admission to the event is $20 if purchased by May 31. After May 31, the price is $25. Admission includes access to the largest steam show in the county as well as first-come, first-served seating to all the country music shows.
A limited number of reserved seats in the grandstand are available for each concert for an additional $10.
Single-day admission is $12 and includes that night’s entertainment. Children 10 and under are admitted free.
