The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday, March 24, at 7 p.m. at the Crawfordsville community room. Twelve members were present.
Lion president Larry Fletcher opened the meeting by leading the Pledge to the Flag and giving the opening prayer.
The minutes from the March 10, meeting were approved as read.
Upcoming community events were discussed – the Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Crawfordsville community Club on Saturday, April 5, at 10 a.m., as well as the July 5 Fun Day, which the Lions will co-sponsor.
Old Business: The slate of officers were presented for balloting: President: Mindy Rochwick, first vice-president: Loree Stodgill; second vice-president: Billie Jo Rose; third vice-president: Lance Miller; secretary: Nancy Love; treasurer: Randy Finke; tail twister: Larry Fletcher; Lion tamer: Mike Massey; one year directors: Rick Fulton and Larry Swailes; and finally, two year directors: Craig Koehler and Gene Lintz. The vote was unanimous to accept these.
New Business: Road clean-up will take place April 5, beginning at 9 a.m. People are to meet at the town sign at the edge of town. Rain date is April 12. Finke will take care of procuring the bags and recruiting Leo Club members to assist.
It was noted that the club will have the two WACO exchange students as speakers at the next dinner meeting, April 14.
New Lion member Adam Mitchell was installed into Lions by Lion Arvid Anderson.
The meeting then adjourned.

Holy Week will begin with Maundy Thursday services at the Ainsworth Community Church are from 4 to 7 p.m. on April 17. Good Friday services are at The United Church of Crawfordsville on April 18.
The United Church of Crawfordsville will have a Sunrise Service on Easter Sunday, April 20, at 7a.m., with breakfast following.
