Iowa Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society met Feb. 25 at the United Church of Crawfordsville. The meeting opened with the singing of “Sword of Gold.” President Marlys Fear shared a reading “One Flaw in Women” for the meditation.
Roll call was answered by eight members telling a remembered Christmas gift they had received.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was given and placed on file for audit. Two bills were presented and payment was approved. The motion was made by Pat King and seconded by Pat Miller.
Correspondence pertained to the upcoming State Convention in April. Also a letter was read from Judy Brinkmeyer approving the chapter’s bylaws.
Fear and Glenda Alvine were chosen as State Convention delegates. Alternate named was Cathy Williams.
A motion was made by Williams to send two delegates to the National Convention with the chapter paying all expenses and it was seconded by Ruth Erwin. Motion carried. Fear was named as a delegate with the other to be chosen at the next meeting.
A motion was made to contribute to the T.T.T. Iowa Treasurer’s Fund at the State Convention was made by Miller and seconded by King. Motion carried.
President Fear thanked the hostesses Williams and Miller for the evening.
The meeting closed with the reciting of the Closing Creed in unison.
Wayne and Debbie Lowe have returned from a week’s vacation in Wyoming. While there they visited their daughter, Renee, and Wayne’s sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Mike Klopfenstein in Cheyenne, Wyo.
The highlight of their trip was when they all went dog sledding on Saturday at Winter Park in Fraser, Colo.
