Mother and daughter Clarissa and Sharon Malmberg recently enjoyed a visit with their daughter and sister and husband, Dr. Frank and Karen Genuardi in St. Augustine, Fla. They went to help Karen celebrate her birthday.
Mackinley Davis, daughter of Marcus and Brittany Davis, was honored at a baby shower on Saturday, March 16, at the United Church of Crawfordsville by her great aunts and cousins.
The afternoon began with the guests offering helpful advice to Brittany for Mackinley. Special guests included great-grandmother Tina Keith; grandmother Valerie Congdon and grandmother Jeanne Davis. Other guests included friends, cousins, aunts and great-aunts of Mackinley.
After opening presents, refreshments and visiting were enjoyed by all. They especially enjoyed holding Mackinley.
Helen Lease and daughter, Christine Stauffer, enjoyed a visit Friday with Helen’s sister-in-law, Eloise Morse, at The Village in Marion. Eloise’s daughters, Jeri Hansen of Cedar Rapids and Cheryl Stufflebeam of Manchester were also present.
With Holy Week upon us, Maundy Thursday services will be held at the United Church of Crawfordsville on Thursday evening, March 28, at 7 p.m. Communion will be served.
Good Friday services will be held at the Ainsworth Community Church on Friday, March 29, at 7 p.m. at the Ainsworth Community Church.
On Easter Sunday, March 31, sunrise services will be held at 6:45 a.m. at the United Church of Crawfordsville with breakfast immediately following. The youth will lead the service and the men will be in charge of the breakfast.
At a congregational meeting following services on Sunday, March 24, congregations of the United Church of Crawfordsville and the Ainsworth Community Church voted to share ministers. The plan will become effective April 1 and on Sunday, April 7.
Pastor Jason Collier will serve both churches for the first time with services starting at 9 a.m. at the United Church of Crawfordsville and 10:30 a.m. at the Ainsworth Community Church.
