The regular meeting of Iowa, Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society was held at the Olds United Church of Christ, Olds, on April 22, with President Marlys Fear presiding.
Pat King provided meditations with readings entitled “Common Sense” and “Too Much Flour.”
Sixteen members answered roll call by telling if they prefer to cook or bake.
The minutes from the previous meeting were approved as read. Carole Lauger read correspondence from Chris Morgan thanking the Chapter for the contribution to the T.T.T. project fund in memory of her father.
The treasurer’s report was approved as read and will be placed on file for audit.
Camp Chair Nancy McGohan reported that the committee has started working on the forms and paperwork for this year’s campers. The four girls and committee members will be shopping soon.
The girls will attend the May meeting for the Camp Girls Shower. This year’s camp will be held June 16-21.
Leah Woline from the Ways and Means Committee has asked that each member bring two plants to the May meeting for a plant auction.
Marlys Fear and Glenda Alvine attended the Iowa State T.T.T. Convention and provided the club with a report and summary of sessions, activities and the annual business meeting. A discussion was held about inviting guests to the May meeting.
Fear asked those present to contact those who might be interested to invite to the meeting. Members felt this would be a good time to show others what T.T.T. is all about.
Fear thanked tonight’s hostesses, Ruth Erwin and Pat King.
The business meeting was adjourned by repeating the Closing Creed.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, May 28 with Mary Benson and Ceanne Alvine serving as hostesses.
A reminder to community members that on Sunday, May 19, at 10 a.m. graduating seniors and their families are invited for a time of fellowship, following worship service.
The seniors will be given a chance to share what their favorite activities were in high school, their favorite moments and their teachers and also a chance to share what their plans for the future are.
Refreshments will be served.
Also, anytime before May 19, church members are asked to bring pictures to the church or email pictures of their loved ones to Jewell Schultz at email@example.com as a slideshow video if going to be held during worship service at the United Church of Crawfordsville on Memorial Day to celebrate the lives of those who have passed and honor their memory with this special tribute of respect and remembrance.
