Create moments of joy
Sunrise Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation has announced the first event in an educational series on “Creating Joy/Enhancing Moments.”
The first program will be Wednesday, April 24, at 10 a.m. in the activity room at Sunrise Terrace. Guest speaker Jolene Brackey will be speaking on how to create moments of joy in families struggling with Alzheimer’s Disease.
According to a release from Sunrise Terrace, Brackey’s passion is “to change society’s attitudes toward aging by inspiring minds, rejuvenating spirits and empowering people.” She will share practical steps that can be taken to minimize stress and maximize your loved one’s joy and quality of life. The program will have information for every person at any stage of the disease. Friends and families, professionals in the field or anyone who wants to be more knowledgeable about the disease is welcome to attend.
