Dalton Conrad signs with Mt. Mercy
Mt. Pleasant’s Dalton Conrad signed his letter of intent to attend Mt. Mercy University and play basketball for the Mustangs next season.

At Mt. Mercy, an NAIA school in Cedar Rapids, Conrad plans to major in multimedia design and graphic design.
“(Mt. Mercy) fit pretty much with my goal, with what I want to do,” Conrad said. “Ever since I was in middle school, I’ve been making videos.”
He’s loved basketball even longer.
“I’ve pretty much loved basketball forever,” he said. “I’ve done a lot of AAU, and I think (basketball) is the best opportunity for me. The competition will make me better; I will have to push myself even harder to compete with those guys.”
Conrad has been to visit the school a couple times and has played in open gym with his future teammates. The Mustangs went 27-6 last year under Head Coach Paul Gavin.
