Elnora B. Woline
Elnora B. Woline, 84, of rural Mt. Pleasant, died Monday July 14, 2014, at Pleasant Manor Care Center.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Mark Youngquist officiating. Burial will follow at the Swedesburg Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, where the family will meet with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials have been established for the Swedesburg Church and Pleasant Manor Care Center.
The daughter of Ralph A. and Mildred (Mendenhall) Myers, she was born Aug. 10, 1929, at Mt. Pleasant. On May 27, 1949 she married Richard Woline. She was a graduate of the Mt. Pleasant High School and attended Iowa Wesleyan College. She taught school for two years before marriage. She was a member of the Olds American Legion Auxillary, T.T.T. chapter L and Farm Bureau Women. She was a member of the Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church and church related organizations. She sang in the church choir for years. She also helped operate the family farm.
Survivors include her husband; five sons, Robert (Trudy) Woline of West Des Moines; Dennis (Cindi) Woline of Des Moines; Allan (Jodi) Woline and Wayne (Leah) Woline all of Mt. Pleasant and Olle Larsson of Sweden; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; and one brother, Lloyd Myers.
