Erma M. Deere, 89, of Croton, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the Donnellson Health Center, Donnellson.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington, where the family will meet with friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Croton Cemetery, Croton, with the Rev. Andy Bunnell officiating.
Memorials may be made in her memory to the Croton Community Club.

Born June 3, 1923 in Greenburg, Mo., she was the daughter of Ambrose J. and Sina (Corwin) Phillips. On April 5, 1947, she married Forrest L. Deere in Ft. Madison. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2009.
She worked as an aid at the Donnellson Health Center, retiring after 40 years of service. She was a member of the Croton Community Club and she enjoyed playing bingo, bunco, gardening and canning.
Survivors include her two sons, Jerry (Deborah) Deere of Ottumwa and David (Callie) Deere of Charles City; one daughter, Debbie Woods of Farmington; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Vera Hodges of Aledo, Ill.; and one brother, Dennis Phillips of Window Rock, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
