First legislative forum on Saturday
It’s that time of year again. Iowa’s legislative session is in full swing and area representatives will be in Mt. Pleasant this weekend to discuss their work, specifically in the area of education.
State Rep. Dave Heaton (R-Mt. Pleasant) and State Sen. Rich Taylor (D-Mt. Pleasant) will be joined in the International Room of Iowa Wesleyan University’s Chadwick Library by John Henriksen, superintendent of the Mt. Pleasant Community School District.
The legislative breakfast, as it’s being slated, will begin at 8:30 a.m. and last until 10.
There will be three more legislative breakfasts this year. Each are set to be held at Chadwick Library from 8:30-10 a.m. The dates are as follows: Feb 25, March 25 and April 22.
