Forsythe’s soup takes third place
ANKENY — Krissy Forsythe of Hillsboro and her teammate, Emma Grinde of Story City, were awarded third place in the “Soy You Think You Can Cook” student recipe contest.
This contest, co-sponsored by the Soyfoods Council in cooperation with Iowa State University Dining and the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition, recognizes creators of new soyfoods recipes.
Forsythe and Grinde made Curried Butternut Squash Soup, which combines silken tofu, coconut milk, butternut squash and chopped onion with flavorings that include green curry paste, curry powder, fresh ginger and salt.
