Garry Lee Koopmans
Garry Lee Koopmans, 57, Gladstone, died Monday, July 28, 2014, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 1, at Thielen Funeral Home. There will be no family visitation.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, at Thielen Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Schoolcraft officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Thielen Funeral Home following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Great River Hospice and Gladstone Baseball Summer League.

Born April 29, 1957, in Kankakee, Ill., he was the son of Thomas and Eleanor Smith Koopmans. On April 5, 1986, he married Teresa Lea Rose.
He worked as a superintendent for Cessford Construction Company.
He was a 1975 graduate of Union High School in Biggsville, Ill.
He was a member of Gladstone United Methodist Church. He was an avid golfer and bowler.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kyle Koopmans of Gladstone, Ill., and Dan (Kathleen) Koopmans of San Diego, Calif.; his parents; two brothers, David (Deb) Koopmans of Omaha, Neb., and Bob (Becky) Koopmans of Burlington; and two sisters, Melanie Eastabrooks of Ohio and Valerie Pappas of Pennsylvania.
