Gary K. "Butch" Krieger
Garry K. “Butch” Krieger, 55, Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, April 19, 2014, at his residence.
The family will host a memorial gathering at 3 p.m., on Friday, April 25, at Pollmiller Park, east of West Point. There will be no formal services. Memorials may be given to The Eastern Iowa Honor Flight and left at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel the week of April 21, during normal business hours. Born Nov. 3, 1958, in Burlington, he was the son of Garry K. and Donna Wheeler Krieger. He attended school in Burlington, and Southeastern Community College where he studied autobody repair. On Sept. 16, 1978, he married Connie Jean Waters.
He was self-employed as an autobody technician and owned and operated Fantasy Design, a sign painting business. He particularly enjoyed spending time with family and friends while camping. He also liked barbecuing and dirt track racing.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Russell Krieger of Mt. Union; his mother of Burlington; and two sisters, Julie (Mark) Wilson and Kelli (Shane) Reynolds, both of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Michael Krieger, who died in infancy.
