Gayle J. Snyder
Gayle J. Snyder, 66, of Mt. Pleasant, died on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Visitation will begin after 4 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., that evening. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 26, at Faith Christian Outreach Church, with Rev. Monte Knudsen officiating. Burial, in Muscatine, will be held next week.

Snyder was born in Muscatine on Nov. 14, 1950, the daughter of Samuel Clarence and Minnie B. Hathaway Snyder. She was a Louisa Muscatine High School graduate.
For many years, she supplied respite care for individuals with special needs.
She was a member of Faith Christian Outreach Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and baking.
Snyder is survived by two sons, Michael (Jolene) McAfee, of Virginia Beach, Va.; and Parnell (Norma) Davis, of Columbus Junction; two daughters, Stephanie (Paul) Borges, of Stuttgart, Germany; and Patricia (Marc) Williams, of Orlando, Fla.; four brothers, Larry (Sally) Snyder; Bob (Cindy) Snyder; Gary (Doris) Snyder; and Walt (Rita) Snyder; and three sisters, Sharon Hunt; Mary Bragg; and Kathy Snyder; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Clarence Snyder; Don Snyder; Melvin Snyder; and John Snyder; and three sisters, Marianne Farrar; Janet Mairet; and Margaret Snyder, who died in infancy.
