Gerald Lee “Bud” Troutman
Gerald Lee “Bud” Troutman, 80, of Bonaparte, died on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, in Iowa City.
Friends may call after 1 p.m., on Tuesday, at the Schmitz Funeral Home, in Farmington. The family will meet with friends from 4:30 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday evening. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at the Schmitz Funeral Home, in Farmington, with Rev. Richard Eis officiating. Burial will be in the Bonaparte Cemetery.

Troutman was born on Sept. 8, 1936, in Bonaparte, the son of Elmer George and Gladys Irene Cummings Troutman. On June 9, 1954, at Kahoka, Mo., he married Barb Parker.
He owned and operated Troutman Towing and Tire in Bonaparte for 62 years.
He was a member of the Bonaparte United Church.
He enjoyed helping people and telling stories.
Troutman is survived by his wife, Barb, of Bonaparte; two sons, Robert Alan (Deb) Troutman, of Keosauqua; Dennis Lee (Peggy) Troutman, of Bonaparte; one daughter, Sherri Kay (Armando) Hernandez, of Ft. Madison; nine grandsons; four great-grandsons; and seven great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Carole Jean.
