Harvey Dean Scearcy
Harvey Dean Scearcy, 64 of Libertyville died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at the Jefferson County Health Center.
Visitation will open at 3 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Pedrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Kirchner officiating. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.

He was born on July 28, 1948, in Bonaparte to Earl and Marcella “June” Tripp Scearcy. He married Mary “JoAnn” Gill on May 23, 1970, in Bentonsport.
He graduated from Van Buren High School with the class of 1966. Harvey worked at Chain and Cable, J and B Plastics, selling Rainbow vacuums and at Rockwell/ Meritor.
He liked hunting, fishing, going to auctions, collecting die cast cars and Dale Earnhardt items and watching NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife: two sons, Dave “B.P.” (Jess) Scearcy of Douds and Dan (Mia) Scearcy of Marion; one granddaughter; two step-grandchildren; eight siblings, Sonny Scearcy of Bonaparte, Darlene Dean of Luray, Mo., Betty (Bill) Printy of Bentonsport, Mike (Cindy) Scearcy of Fairfield, Mary (Donald) Sederburg of Mt. Sterling, Dale (Bertie) Scearcy of Mt. Sterling, Alice Dickerson of Keosauqua and Judy Scearcy of Keosauqua; and his mother-in-law, Doris Gill of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Linda Scearcy.
