Helen M. Sperfslage
Helen M. Sperfslage, 94, Burlington, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at the Rose Bush Gardens in Burlington.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the family to receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at Thielen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at Thielen Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for Harmony Bible Church Clean Water Ministry and Rosebush Gardens.

Born May 21, 1919, in West Burlington, she was the daughter of Frederick William and Minnie Schmidt Heuer. On Feb. 25, 1938, she married Alvin Sperfslage. He preceded her in death.
She had worked at Schramm & Schmeig and farmed with her husband.
She attended Harmony Bible Church and was a member of Women of the Moose. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, dancing, remodeling, traveling and was a talented seamstress.
Survivors include two sons, Arnold (Lois) Sperfslage of Burlington, and Kermit (Cindy) Sperfslage of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and three sisters.
