There is still time to participate in the Hillsboro Public Library’s summer reading program “Dig into Reading.” The program goes through July 31.
You still have time to begin burrowing through shelves of books revealing a seed packet task. Maybe your Gnome has discovered a new adventure to share.
Perhaps you might be the one to uncover the daily ice cream cone give-a-way or come across the weekly scavenger item buried among the mysteries.
Library director Casey has daily door prizes for any one of you lucky patrons who spend some time in the library unearthing one of his prizes.
While you’re enjoying all this digging around at the library you’ll be earning a chance for a prize drawing at the end of the program on July 31.
Have you planted the pumpkin seeds you were given at the summer reading program registration?
My husband has planted ours and they are growing. Before long we will have one of the largest pumpkins in the area and will win the Pumpkin Contest this fall.
How are your pumpkin seeds doing?
Watch for more information on the pumpkin contest this fall.
The Hillsboro Public Library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 3:30 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 to 11 a.m.
If you have any family or community news that you would like published in the Hillboro News, email or call by Sunday at 5 p.m.
