IWC men's soccer routed by Bulldogs
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — The Iowa Wesleyan Colleye men's soccer team had a rough go against the Truman State University Bulldogs last Friday afternoon.
The Tigers were outmatched from the early going, ending with a 11-0 loss to the Bulldogs.
The Tigers gave up three goals in the first 16 minutes of play, and went to halftime with a 6-0 deficit.
The Bulldogs continued their ferocious attack in the second half, controlling the game and shutting out the Tigers. Iowa Wesleyan was unable to get off a single shot in the game, while the Bulldogs took 35 shots, putting 20 of them on goal.
Caleb Winston made nine saves on the night in goal for the Tigers.
The loss drops the Tigers to 0-2 to start the season.
The Tigers will travel to Robert Morris University-Springfield on Sept. 11 for their next match as they look to get the first win of the season. Last season, the Tigers finished their season against RMU-Springfield with an 8-1 win.
