John Alvin Hollingsworth
John Alvin Hollingsworth, 60, Donnellson, died Monday July 14, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City.
Friends may call after 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in West Point with the family meeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a time to share memories at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Following the visitation his body will be cremated.

Born Oct. 3, 1953 at Burlington, the son of Alvin John and Geneva Loraine Bence Hollingsworth. On May 27, 1995, he married Donna Spangler.
He was a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College. He was a Steamfitter for Union Local 125. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, mushrooming and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife; four step-sons, James Martindale of Donnellson, Kevin Martindale of Burlington, Richard (Haley) Martindale of Donnellson and Sammy (Heather) Prichard of New London; one brother, David (Joline) Hollingsworth of New London; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
