John Clyde Myers, 89, Xenia, Ohio, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, in Xenia.
Funeral services were held on May 4 in Xenia with the Rev. Myron Myers officiating.The family will be hosting a memorial service on Monday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at the Trenton Missionary Church with the Rev. David Forrester officiating. Following the services, burial will be held in the Forest Home Cemetery.

He was born Sept. 11, 1923, and was the son of John Ezra and Sarah Francis Myers of Logan County, Ohio.
He grew up in rural Lakeview, Ohio. He married Violena Pauline “Polly” Barnes on Dec. 23, 1944, in Kentucky. He farmed in Lakeview, Ohio. He was also a certified journeyman machinist at the Clark Equipment Company in Lima, Ohio, for many years. He moved with his wife, to Trenton in 2003.
He is survived by five children, Michael Myers of Springfield, Ohio, Patricia (Gary) Howell of Lima, Ohio, Sherry Moser (John) Graber of Mt Pleasant, Jonathan (Julie) Myers of Charlotte, S.C., and Carl (Buffie) Myers of Cedarville, Ohio; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is survived by siblings, Glenn (Nancy) Myers of Troy, Ohio, Rev. Myron (Myra) Myers of Jamestown, N.Y., Freda Knight of West Jefferson, Ohio, and Betty Dotson of Toledo, Ohio.
John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers, Everett, Dwight and Gerald.
