John F. Williams III
John F. Williams III, 50, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Bushnell, Ill., died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Kimzey Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant. The Rev. Gary Van Nyhuis will officiate. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences may be directed to www.kimzeyfuneralhome.com.
He was born Sept. 8, 1963, in Macomb, Ill. He was the son of John Francis and Joyce (nee Ferris) Williams II. He was raised in Bushnell, Ill. He had been previously married to Delilah Ellen (nee Gum) Williams and Dorothy (nee Schlindwein) Williams. He was a licensed electrician and an employee of Midwest Control Products in Bushnell. For several years, he worked for the family business, Boden Amusements, a traveling carnival where he was primarily responsible for the Ferris Wheel.
He is survived by a daughter, Joyce (Nick) Taylor of Ottumwa; a step-son, Luke Schlindwein of Roseville, Ill.; a step-daughter, Maria Johnson of Burlington; two brothers, Darwin Boden of Fredonia, Kan., and Daryl Boden of Bushnell, Ill.; five sisters, Jean Mattson of Burlington, Elizabeth Williams of Phoenix, Ariz., Jolene Stenwall of Elmwood, Ill., Tonya Hawk of Bushnell and Terri Farwell of Fredonia; and five grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father and step-mother, John and Gloria Williams II; his mother and step-father, Raymond and Joyce Boden; and a daughter, Georgia Gum.
