Junior Derr, 85, rural Farmington, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at the Ft. Madison Community Hospital, Ft. Madison.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Schmitz Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson where the family will meet with friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson with Father Dennis Hoffman officiating.
Burial will follow at the Charleston Cemetery in Charleston.
A memorial has been established in his memory to the Donnellson or Farmington Ball Associations.

Born April 8, 1928, in Charleston, the son of Darius Lewis, Sr. and Ada (Cloud) Derr. On Dec. 25, 1949, he married Elizabeth Biddenstadt.
He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington. He was a farmer. He enjoyed square dance calling, gardening, selling his produce at Farmers Markets, hunting, playing euchre, watching goats in pasture, watching the Chicago Cubs and mushroom hunting.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Terry (Rhonda) Derr of Keokuk; one daughter, Rebecca (Charles) Smith of Farmington; one step-daughter, Mary (Ron) Mapes of Arizona; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Darlene Vantiger of Denmark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, one brother and one step-grandson.
