Mabel E. Comfort
Mabel E. Comfort, 101, of Mt. Pleasant, died on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at Arbor Court.
According to her wishes, she has been cremated. A Celebration of Life Service is being planned for both Mabel and Edward Comfort in the spring of 2017.

Comfort was born on June 11, 1915, in Pharsalia, N.Y., the daughter of Byron Charles and Julia Lucille (Peaslee) Brown. In 1933, she graduated from high school in South Otselic, N.Y. She married Edward Gerald Comfort on July 22, 1933, in South Otselic.
She was a homemaker. She also worked as the church custodian, a clerk at Panosians Shoe Store, and worked in an insurance office for many years.
She attended South Side Baptist Church, in Elmira, N.Y.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and being around animals.
Comfort is survived by three sons, Rev. Charles (Patricia) Comfort, of Mt. Pleasant; Phillip R. Comfort and David R. (Patricia) Comfort, of West Melbourne, Fla.; one daughter, Beverly Coss, of Ithaca, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two brothers, Fayette Brown and Guy Brown.
