Madia Jeffery, 74, of Cedar Rapids, and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at St. Luke’s Living Center East, in Cedar Rapids.
Visitation will begin after noon on Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., that evening. Burial will be at a later date in the Forest Home Cemetery.

Jeffery was born on Nov. 12, 1942, the daughter of John Galor and Arion Lela (Pfeiffer) Jeffery. She was a 1962 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School.
She worked for Metromail from 1966 until 1997, as a machine operator.
She was a member of Neighborhood Church, in Cedar Rapids.
She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing Bingo, and collecting Native American artifacts.
Jeffery is survived by a son, Darrell Jeffery, of Sacred Heart, Minn.; three grandchildren; a sister, Anna Williamson, of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, John Lee Jeffery, of Salem; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
