Mary Ann Grelk
Mary Ann Grelk, 69, of Washington, died on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at her home.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at 1 p.m., at St. Peter’s Cemetery, near Franklin. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at 1 p.m., at the Oakville Community Center, in Oakville. Please bring a covered dish to share.

Grelk was born on Feb. 12, 1947, in Burlington, the daughter of John C. and Hazel M. (Stratton) Petty. On June 10, 1972, she married John K. Grelk, in Canton, Mo. He preceded her in death.
She worked as a nurses aide at St. Francis and also as a hotel housekeeper.
She enjoyed watching television, the Cubs, and spending time with her grandson.
Grelk is survived by one daughter, Misty Grelk, of Washington; one grandson; and eight brothers and sisters, Richard Petty, of Ft. Madison, Bill Petty, of Wapello, Marsha Petty, of Burlington, Brenda Larkin, of Burlington, Claudia Petty, of Burlington, Connie Nuebel, of Ft. Madison, Roberta Hamilton, of Burlington, and Linda Faulkner of Carthage, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; and a sister, Sally.
