MP bowlers placed third in SEC

The Mt. Pleasant bowling team hosted the conference tournament on Saturday. Both Panther teams finished third in the SEC.
The boys took third with a score of 2750. Fairfield won the tournament, with a 2,883.
Clayton Sammons led the Panthers with a 219 in his first game and a 191 in his second to finish at 410.
Jacob Crooks rolled a 382. Hunter Brown rolled a 360. Cameron Sammons scored a 354. Sam Anderson finished at 338 and Levi Mills rolled a 284.
The Panther boys’ baker games went 197, 162, 180, 184 and 183.
The Mt. Pleasant girls scored a 2,249 for their third place finish. Keokuk came out on top, at 2,672.
Emma Overton rolled a 192 in her first game and a 205 in her second game to finish at 397, which led the Panthers.
Emily Shumaker rolled a 303. Kelsey Hummell rolled a 296. Keri Herr scored a 255 and Brittany Triska finished at 247.
Baker games for the Mt. Pleasant girls went 146, 140, 128, 181 and 156.
The Panther bowling teams are back in action today (Tuesday) for their state-qualifying meet, which started at 11 a.m.
