MP boys' cross-country looking to fill varsity spots
The Mt. Pleasant boys’ cross-country team began official practice this week, and with a young group, the focus is on getting conditioned for the season and figuring out who will fill in the gaps left by graduates.
“We went to camp last week, where we worked on team goals and team building,” Coach Mitch Anderson said. “So this week, we want to work on getting quality practices in and some solid base milage.”
The team graduated quite a few seniors from last season, including their top five runners.
“We have a very large freshman class and a lot of returning juniors, but not a lot of returning varsity experience,” Anderson said. “I’m interested to see what happens.”
