PELLA — Mt. Pleasant’s Brayton Meeker was honored for his contributions to the Central College football team this fall at the squad’s recent awards banquet.

Meeker, a sophomore linebacker, received a varsity letter for his efforts this season.

In Jeff McMartin’s ninth season as head coach, the Dutch compiled a 5-5 record, with a 4-3 conference record, finishing tied for second in the Iowa Conference.

Central has not had a losing season since 1960 and will return 42 letterwinners for the 2013 season.
