Mt. Pleasant student achievement scores from the 2012-13 school year reflect a mixed bag. However, pluses far out-number minuses in the information presented during the June 10 Mt. Pleasant School Board meeting.

Directors were presented student scores from the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) and Iowa Test of Educational Development (ITED). Elementary and middle school students take the ITBS while high school students receive the ITED.

Following are Mt. Pleasant’s composite scores by grade. A minus in front of the score means that students scored lower than the previous year while a plus means improvement. The SES acronym stands for social economy status.
