MP sweeps Edward Stone
BURLINGTON — The Mt. Pleasant eighth-grade football team defeated Edward Stone in both the “A” and “B” games on Tuesday. The A team won by a score of 34-14, while the B team picked up a 14-8 win.
In the A game, Brady Sartorius rushed for 83 yards and three touchdowns, and was 8-of-13 passing for 92 yard and two touchdowns.
Masion Ashton and Tanner Ruby each had a touchdown reception. Isaac Kuster scored on a two-point conversion.
Jordan Magnani carried for 79 yards in the game, and Colin Mulford picked up 21 yards on the ground.
Caleb Potts, Colby Potts and Joseph Coberly had four tackles each.
In the B game, Keegan Rich rushed for 48 yards and touchdown, and caught a 42-yard touchdown pass from Caleb Potts.
Bergen Ensminger had seven tackles and Rich had six. Caleb Potts and Colby Potts came up with five each.
Both teams will play again Tuesday when they host Fairfield.
