Mt. Pleasant bowlers compete in Muscatine

MUSCATINE — The Mt. Pleasant bowling teams were in Muscatine on Saturday for a meet with Louisa-Muscatine and Central Dewitt.
Both teams finished third of the three teams. The boys scored 2,580 points and the girls scored a 1,939.
Clayton Sammons led the boys team with a 390. Jeremy Lee scored a 375. Cameron Sammons rolled a 343 and Hunter Brown rolled a 339.
Jacob Crooks was fifth on the team with a 290 and Sam Anderson rounded out the scorers with a 279.
Baker games for the Mt. Pleasant boys went 182, 125, 202, 144 and 190.
Emma Overton and Emily Shumaker both went over 300 for the girls’ team. Overton scored a 312 and Shumaker finished at 303.
Kelsey Hummell scored a 255. Brianna Bowman rolled a 234. Betsy Bockting and Brittany Triska each rolled a 192.
The Panthers will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 14. They will host Keokuk in a home meet.
