Mt. Pleasant bowling teams split with Fairfield at home

The Mt. Pleasant bowling teams took on Fairfield in their last regular season home meet on Saturday. The boys won, 2,896-2,788 and the girls lost, 2,682-2,194.
The boys were led by three players who finished over 200 in both of their games.
Clayton Sammons threw a 234 and a 228 to finish at 462. Cameron Sammons threw a 207 and a 248 to finish at 455, and Hunter Brown rolled a 202 and a 215 to finish at 417.
Sam Anderson rolled a 374. Jacob Crooks rolled a 262 and Charlie Kahler finished at 258.
Baker games for the Mt. Pleasant boys went 167, 174, 164, 235 and 186.
Emma Overton and Kelsey Hummell each had nice outings for the girls. Overton rolled a 157 and a 255 to finish at 412 and Hummell rolled a 133 and a 212 to score 345.
Keri Herr was third for the Panthers, at 272. Emily Shumaker threw a 254. Brittany Triska rolled a 230 and Betsy Bockting finished at 210.
Baker scores for the Panther girls went 132, 116, 146, 152 and 135.
Mt. Pleasant will have one more regular season dual. They will hit the road to face Keokuk on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m.
