The Mt. Pleasant girls’ golf team played at Keokuk on Tuesday, where they finished with a team total of 193.
The Chiefs have just four players on their team, but were missing one for the meet and couldn’t record a score.
“After finding out that the Keokuk team only had three players participating, it seemed like our team lost its edge and our motivation seemed lacking,” Coach Jim Kelly said.
Mt. Pleasant was led by co-medalists Courtney Mabeus and Brianne Holtkamp, each of whom shot a 46.
Emily Cox was right behind them with a 47.
“I thought we got very good play from our two senior co-medalists, Courtney Mabeus and Brianne Holtkamp. Emily Cox continues to improve and become more consistent with her play, which is good to see,” Kelly said.
Haley Booton and Elle Schleisman each scored 54, and Hailey Spence carded a 65.
Keokuk was led by Kelsey Rose with a 51. Madalyn Whitaker scored 55 and Joley Seitz shot a 61.
