Mt. Pleasant JV football falls to Marion, 16-0
MARION — Marion scored eight points in each of the first two quarters, and the Mt. Pleasant JV football team couldn’t recover, falling by a score of 16-0 on Friday.
Joe Hess was 5-for-10 passing for 57 yards in the game.
Cale Christner caught a 23-yard pass and Alex Carrasco had two receptions for 17 yards.
On the ground, Korte Maddy and Carrasco each picked up 13 yards, and Colten Mertens carried for eight yards.
Defensively, Keegan Pullis led the team with nine tackles and a fumble recovery.
The team is 0-1 and plays Thursday at Ottumwa. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
